ICICI Sapphiro Credit Card Review: Is It Worth It?
11 June 2025 · BestCard Editorial Team

ICICI Sapphiro occupies the upper-mid premium tier of ICICI's card lineup — positioned below the bank's top-end travel cards but well above its entry-level offerings, with airport lounge access and a reward points program as its main selling points.
What the lounge access actually gets you
Sapphiro includes a set number of complimentary domestic lounge visits per quarter, along with limited international lounge access through a program like Priority Pass on some card variants — worth confirming the current visit count and program directly, since these terms shift periodically and older reviews can understate or overstate the current benefit.
The reward points structure
Points earned on Sapphiro follow ICICI's standard redemption catalogue, and like most bank-run point systems, the effective value per point depends heavily on what you redeem for — travel and select partner redemptions tend to offer better value than converting points to statement credit, which is usually the weakest redemption option available.
Where the annual fee gets justified
For someone who uses the lounge access every quarter and redeems points sensibly rather than defaulting to statement credit, Sapphiro's annual fee is reasonably easy to offset. For someone who rarely travels or won't use the lounge benefit, the card's core earning rate on everyday spending isn't strong enough on its own to justify the fee over a dedicated cashback card.
Should you get it
Sapphiro makes sense as a stepping-stone premium card for occasional travelers who aren't ready for ICICI's top-tier travel cards but want lounge access without a steep annual fee. Frequent flyers should compare it against ICICI's higher tier before settling here.
