The best Visa Infinite credit cards in India in 2026 are IDFC FIRST Wealth for a lifetime-free card with zero forex markup, HSBC Live+ for everyday cashback with Infinite-tier lounge access, and PNB LUXURA for unlimited lounges at a low fee. Visa Infinite is Visa's highest consumer tier, but the label alone doesn't make a card good. What counts is the fee, rewards, forex markup and how easily you can unlock the perks.

What Visa Infinite actually means

Visa sells card tiers to banks: Classic, Gold, Platinum, Signature and Infinite at the top. A higher tier lets the issuer bundle more network-level privileges, such as concierge access, travel benefits and sometimes lounge programmes. The issuing bank decides the rest: reward rate, fees, insurance and lounge counts.

So two Visa Infinite cards can be very different products. One may be a lifetime-free travel card, another a ₹30,000 luxury card. Our guide to network-level lounge perks explains which benefits come from Visa and which from the bank, and RuPay vs Visa vs Mastercard covers the networks more broadly.

The shortlist

IDFC FIRST Wealth (best lifetime-free)

IDFC FIRST Wealth is the standout value pick: no joining or annual fee, 0% forex markup since 9 Sep 2026, and Visa Infinite concierge for dining, staycation and flight bookings. It adds ₹1 crore air accident cover, trip cancellation cover up to ₹10,000, quarterly golf, and Buy 1 Get 1 movie tickets. Lounge access is 1 domestic and 1 international visit a quarter, each unlocked by ₹20,000 of spend that month. Rewards are thin at 0.375% base and 1.25% on dining and travel, and international spends stop earning points from 26 Oct 2026. The catch is income: ₹3 lakh a month. See our Wealth review.

HSBC Live+ (best for everyday cashback)

HSBC Live+ moved onto Visa Infinite in mid-2026. It pays 10% cashback on dining, food delivery, groceries, utilities and online shopping (excluding Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra), each capped at ₹1,000 a month, with 1% elsewhere. Lounge access, domestic and international, comes through the Visa Infinite programme. The fee is ₹999, forex markup 1.99%, and minimum income ₹1 lakh a month, the most accessible on this list.

PNB LUXURA Visa Infinite Metal (best unlimited lounges for the fee)

PNB LUXURA Visa Infinite Metal offers unlimited domestic and international airport lounge access with zero forex markup, for a ₹4,999 joining fee and ₹1,999 annual fee (waived on ₹6 lakh). Travel and dining earn 3% and other spends 1%, at 25 paise a point. Milestones add 10,000 points at ₹5 lakh, 14,000 at ₹10 lakh and 26,000 at ₹15 lakh of annual spend. Minimum income is ₹1.5 lakh a month.

IDFC FIRST Ashva (best mid-fee travel card)

IDFC FIRST Ashva is a metal Visa Infinite card with 0% forex markup, 4 domestic and 2 international airport lounge visits a quarter, and 4 railway lounge visits a quarter. You also get 2 golf rounds or lessons a month on ₹20,000 of monthly spend and trip cancellation cover up to ₹25,000, twice a year. The annual fee is ₹2,999 with no waiver, and minimum income is ₹1 lakh. Rewards jump to 10X on monthly spend above ₹20,000, at 25 paise a point (40 paise on travel via IDFC FIRST's portal).

KVB Altura (best welcome bonus)

KVB Altura from Karur Vysya Bank gives 7,500 welcome reward points (about ₹7,500), zero forex markup, and 5X points on flights, hotels, dining and luxury shopping. It includes a one-year Club Marriott membership and 12 months of EazyDiner Prime. The fee is ₹4,999, waived on ₹5 lakh, and minimum income is ₹80,000 a month. It's a new card, so lounge and redemption details are still limited.

Standard Chartered Priority Visa Infinite (best for Priority Banking clients)

Standard Chartered Priority Visa Infinite has no fee and gives 4 domestic lounge visits a quarter, plus 2 international Priority Pass visits a month for clients who meet the bank's funds-under-management criteria. It carries ₹1 crore air accident cover and USD 25,000 overseas medical insurance. It's available only to Priority Banking customers, and its 3.5% forex markup is high for a card at this tier.

Summary table

Card Annual fee Forex markup Lounge access Min income/month

How to choose

If you spend a lot abroad: go for a zero-markup Infinite card. IDFC FIRST Wealth is the best value if you meet its income bar; PNB LUXURA and IDFC FIRST Ashva are the next options. On ₹3 lakh of overseas spend, avoiding a 3.5% markup saves ₹10,500 plus GST. For a wider list, see best zero forex markup cards.

If you want rewards on daily spending: HSBC Live+ is the only card here built around high everyday cashback. Spending ₹10,000 a month in each of its four 10% categories earns ₹4,000 a month.

If lounge access is the priority: PNB LUXURA's unlimited domestic and international access is unusual at a ₹1,999 annual fee. Compare it with other options in our international lounge access guide.

If you already bank with Standard Chartered Priority: the Priority Visa Infinite card is free and worth adding, but use another card abroad.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing a card for the Visa Infinite name. The bank's reward and fee structure matters more than the tier.
  • Ignoring spend triggers. Wealth and Ashva tie lounge visits and golf to ₹20,000 of monthly spend.
  • Forgetting reward exclusions abroad. Zero-markup IDFC FIRST cards stop earning points on international spends from 26 Oct 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Visa Infinite credit card?

Visa Infinite is Visa's top consumer card tier, above Platinum and Signature. In India, issuers use it for premium and super-premium cards, and it often comes with concierge services and network-linked lounge or travel privileges, though exact benefits depend on the issuer.

Which is the cheapest Visa Infinite card in India?

IDFC FIRST Wealth and Standard Chartered Priority Visa Infinite have no joining or annual fee in BestCard's data. Among paid cards, HSBC Live+ is the cheapest at ₹999, waivable on spend.

Is Visa Infinite better than Visa Signature?

The Infinite tier generally carries more premium network privileges, but the card's own features matter far more. A Visa Signature card with good rewards can beat a Visa Infinite card with a weak reward structure.

Can I upgrade my Visa card to Visa Infinite?

Only if your bank offers a Visa Infinite variant and you meet its eligibility. Some banks move existing cards to a new tier, as HSBC did when it upgraded Live+ to Visa Infinite in mid-2026.
