The Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card SELECT is a ₹1,499 co-branded card that pays 10 reward points per ₹100 at Landmark Group stores (Lifestyle, Max, Home Centre and SPAR) and 2 points per ₹100 everywhere else. For regular Landmark shoppers, it's one of the easier co-brand cards to justify, because the renewal points alone nearly cover the fee. If you don't shop at those stores often, it's not the right card for you.

Who this card is for

This card works for one kind of shopper: someone whose household spending already runs through Landmark Group brands. That might be clothes and footwear from Lifestyle and Max, furniture and home décor from Home Centre, and groceries from SPAR. Families furnishing a new home or buying school and festive clothing every season get the most out of it.

It's a poor fit for anyone who wants one card for everything. There's no lounge access, no travel benefits and no accelerated earn on online marketplaces or dining.

Fees and fee waiver

Item Detail
Joining fee ₹1,499 + GST
Annual fee ₹1,499 + GST
Welcome benefit 6,000 reward points (worth ₹1,500) on paying the joining fee
Renewal benefit 6,000 reward points on paying the annual fee
Spend-based fee waiver Not listed in BestCard's data; check SBI Card's current terms
Minimum income ₹30,000 a month

With 18% GST, the fee works out to about ₹1,769. The 6,000 points you get back are worth ₹1,500 at 25 paise per point, so the net cost of holding the card is roughly ₹269 a year before you earn anything. That's a low bar to clear.

Reward structure

  • Landmark Group stores: 10 reward points per ₹100 at Lifestyle, Max, Home Centre and SPAR. At 25 paise per point, that's ₹2.50 back per ₹100.
  • Everything else: 2 reward points per ₹100, or ₹0.50 back per ₹100.
  • Milestones: cumulative milestone benefits worth up to 34,400 points (₹8,600) across a year for heavier spenders. The exact spend thresholds change, so check them on SBI Card's site.

The gap between those two rates is the whole story. The card pays five times as much at Landmark stores as it does elsewhere, so it only makes sense if a good share of your spending goes there.

Worked example: a regular Landmark household

Say you spend ₹6,000 a month at Lifestyle, Max, Home Centre and SPAR combined, plus ₹20,000 a month on everything else.

  • Landmark spend: ₹72,000 a year × 10 points per ₹100 = 7,200 points = ₹1,800
  • Other spend: ₹2,40,000 a year × 2 points per ₹100 = 4,800 points = ₹1,200
  • Renewal bonus: 6,000 points = ₹1,500
  • Total value: ₹4,500, against a fee of about ₹1,769 including GST

That leaves you about ₹2,731 ahead before any milestone points. Hit a milestone and the gap widens considerably.

Worked example: an occasional Landmark shopper

Now say only ₹2,000 a month goes to Landmark stores and ₹15,000 elsewhere.

  • Landmark: ₹24,000 × 10 per ₹100 = 2,400 points = ₹600
  • Other: ₹1,80,000 × 2 per ₹100 = 3,600 points = ₹900
  • Renewal: ₹1,500
  • Total: ₹3,000 against ₹1,769

You still come out ahead, but almost all of the value comes from the renewal bonus. A good cashback card would probably do better on the ₹1,80,000 of general spend.

Other benefits

There isn't much beyond the points. No lounge visits, no travel insurance listed in our data, no golf and no dining programme. SBI Card's standard features apply: contactless payments, EMI conversion on large purchases (useful at Home Centre) and fuel surcharge rules as per SBI's general terms. Figures in this review reflect BestCard's latest card data, but issuers change terms, so verify on SBI Card's site before applying.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • 10 points per ₹100 at Lifestyle, Max, Home Centre and SPAR
  • 6,000-point welcome and renewal bonuses (₹1,500 each) that nearly cancel out the fee
  • Milestone benefits worth up to ₹8,600 a year for heavier spenders
  • Moderate ₹30,000 monthly income requirement

Cons

  • The accelerated rate only applies to Landmark Group brands
  • 2 points per ₹100 elsewhere (₹0.50 per ₹100) is weak
  • No lounge access or travel benefits
  • No spend-based fee waiver listed in our data

Eligibility

BestCard's data puts the minimum income at ₹30,000 a month. You'll need standard KYC, income proof (salary slips or ITR) and a reasonable CIBIL history. Existing SBI Card holders often get pre-approved upgrade offers into the SELECT variant, which is worth checking in the SBI Card app before applying fresh.

How it compares

  • Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card is the entry version: ₹499 a year, waived on ₹1 lakh of annual spend, with a lower earn rate at the same stores and a ₹15,000 monthly income requirement. If your Landmark spending is modest, start here.
  • Max SBI Card SELECT costs ₹2,999 (waived at ₹3 lakh) and is built around Max stores specifically. It only makes sense if Max is where most of your shopping happens.
  • HDFC Shoppers Stop Black is the equivalent for Shoppers Stop loyalists, at ₹4,500 a year with a ₹3 lakh waiver threshold.
  • SBI Cashback Card is the better pick if most of your shopping is online. It gives 5% cashback on online spends (capped at ₹2,000 a month) for ₹999 a year. Our SBI Cashback deep dive covers it in detail.

Verdict

The Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card SELECT does one thing well. If Lifestyle, Max, Home Centre or SPAR take a regular share of your spending, the 10 points per ₹100 plus the 6,000-point renewal bonus make this a card that pays for itself in most years. If they don't, the 2 points per ₹100 elsewhere won't hold up next to a general cashback card.

Regular Landmark shoppers can apply for the Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card SELECT and use it alongside a strong all-rounder for everything else. Not sure it fits your spending? Run your numbers through the BestCard matcher.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card SELECT worth it?

Yes, if you shop regularly at Lifestyle, Max, Home Centre or SPAR. The 6,000 renewal points (worth ₹1,500) nearly cover the ₹1,499 fee on their own, and the 10 points per ₹100 at those stores is where the real value sits. Outside the Landmark Group, the earn rate is weak.

What is the annual fee of the Lifestyle SBI SELECT card?

The joining and annual fee are both ₹1,499 plus GST. You get 6,000 reward points on paying the joining fee and another 6,000 on renewal, each worth ₹1,500 at 25 paise per point.

Does the Lifestyle Home Centre SBI SELECT card offer lounge access?

No. There is no domestic or international lounge access on this card. If lounge access matters, look at a travel or general premium card instead.

What income do I need for the Lifestyle SBI SELECT card?

BestCard's data lists a minimum monthly income of ₹30,000. SBI Card also considers your credit history and existing relationship, so check the current criteria before applying.
