Yes Bank Marquee Credit Card Review: Worth the Upgrade From Entry-Level Yes Cards?

Yes Bank's card lineup rarely gets the attention HDFC, Axis, or SBI cards do, but the Yes Bank Marquee Credit Card occupies a real niche: a step up from Yes Bank's entry cards for existing relationship customers who want better rewards and travel benefits without switching banks entirely.

Fees and eligibility

The annual fee lands solidly in the mid-premium bracket — higher than a lifetime-free card, well below invitation-only flagships. Eligibility typically favors customers with an existing Yes Bank relationship or a strong income profile, which is standard for a mid-tier card from a bank that's rebuilding its retail credit card book after a turbulent few years.

Rewards structure

The base reward rate is competitive with other mid-tier cards from HDFC or ICICI at a similar price point, with accelerated categories on select spends. Redemption flexibility is where Yes Bank cards traditionally lag the bigger issuers — the points ecosystem is smaller and partner transfers are more limited than what SBI or Axis have built out over the years. That's not a dealbreaker if you mainly redeem for statement credit or vouchers rather than transferring to airline miles.

Lounge and travel perks

Complimentary domestic lounge visits are included, usually capped per quarter rather than unlimited — in line with how most non-flagship travel cards are now structured post-DreamFolks contract renegotiations across the industry. International lounge access, if included at all, tends to be more limited than what Axis Atlas or HDFC Infinia offer at a comparable or even lower price.

What stands out

For an existing Yes Bank customer, Marquee is a sensible upgrade path that avoids the hassle of applying fresh with another bank and going through a new credit check. The card's fee-to-benefit ratio is reasonable if you're already comfortable with Yes Bank's app and servicing, and it fills a gap between Yes Bank's basic cards and genuinely premium options elsewhere.

Where it falls short

Compared to HDFC Regalia Gold or Axis Atlas at similar price points, Marquee's redemption ecosystem and lounge network are noticeably thinner. If you don't already bank with Yes Bank, there's little reason to choose this over an equivalent card from a bigger issuer with a more mature rewards program and wider service network.

Who should consider it

This card is best suited to existing Yes Bank customers looking for a natural upgrade, not to someone shopping the open market for the best mid-tier travel or rewards card available. If you're starting from scratch, cards like Axis Atlas or HDFC Regalia Gold are likely to give you more for a similar fee.

Where to go from here
