Best Credit Cards for Zepto, Blinkit, and Instamart

If you've gone looking for a card that gives an accelerated rate specifically on Zepto, Blinkit, or Swiggy Instamart, you've probably noticed there isn't one. Unlike dining (Swiggy, Zomato) or larger e-commerce (Amazon, Flipkart), quick-commerce apps don't sit in a dedicated merchant category on most Indian card reward programs. They typically get coded as general retail or "other" spend by the payment processor, which means category-based cards that reward dining, travel, or fuel give you nothing extra here. The cards that actually help are the ones that don't care what category you're spending in.

Why quick commerce falls into the reward gap

Card issuers build accelerated categories around merchant category codes (MCCs) — a fixed list set by card networks. Grocery delivery apps often get coded generically, and even when they are coded as "grocery," most Indian cashback cards either exclude groceries from bonus categories or cap the bonus rate so low it barely matters. Add to that the fact that Zepto, Blinkit, and Instamart process a huge share of transactions through UPI rather than card rails, and you have a spend category that's genuinely hard to optimize for with a single "best card" answer. The practical fix is to stop looking for a quick-commerce card and instead pick the best flat-rate cashback card you can get, since it rewards this spend the same as everything else.

Flat cashback cards are the right tool here

The SBI Cashback Card gives 5% cashback on all online spending with no merchant exclusion list working against you, up to its monthly cap. Since quick-commerce checkout is an online transaction regardless of app, this rate applies whether you're ordering from Zepto, Blinkit, or Instamart, without needing the transaction to be coded a particular way. For someone who orders from these apps two or three times a week, this is usually the single highest-value card available, because it doesn't force you to guess how the MCC will land.

The Tata Neu Infinity Credit Card is a second strong option if you already shop on the Tata Neu app for anything else, since NeuCoins earned on quick-commerce spend stack with Tata's own ecosystem discounts. It won't out-earn a dedicated 5% online cashback card on Zepto or Blinkit specifically, but if your spending is split across Tata Neu's grocery arm (BigBasket) and other quick-commerce apps, the combined value can work out ahead.

RuPay and UPI AutoPay checkout

A growing share of quick-commerce checkout happens through UPI rather than entering card details, especially now that RuPay credit cards can be linked to UPI. If you check out this way, the reward outcome depends on whether the issuer treats UPI-linked RuPay spend the same as card-present spend — some cards exclude or cap UPI transactions from cashback, which quietly erases the benefit you thought you were getting. Our guide on credit cards that exclude UPI rewards and the companion piece on cards that actually reward UPI spends are worth checking before you commit to a card purely on the strength of its advertised cashback rate.

Who this suits

If quick commerce is a meaningful chunk of your monthly grocery spend — say ₹3,000-8,000 a month across Zepto, Blinkit, and Instamart combined — a flat-rate cashback card is worth prioritizing over a travel or dining card that gives you nothing here. If your quick-commerce spend is occasional and small, the marginal difference between cards is small enough that you shouldn't switch your primary card just for this. The bigger lever in that case is app-side offers: Zepto, Blinkit, and Instamart all run their own bank-linked discount codes periodically, and those stack independently of your card's cashback rate.

Combining with app-side offers

Check the offers section inside each app before checkout — issuer-specific discount codes rotate every few weeks and are separate from your card's base cashback. A ₹50-100 flat discount from an app promotion plus 5% cashback from your card is a better outcome than either alone, and it's the reason the "best card" answer for any single app shifts month to month rather than staying fixed. Our guide on how to stack maximum cashback covers this layering approach in more detail, including how to sequence bank offers, app coupons, and card cashback without any of them canceling each other out.

What to skip

Don't chase a card purely because it advertises "grocery rewards" without checking whether quick-commerce apps are explicitly included — many grocery bonus categories are written around supermarket chains and exclude app-based delivery platforms entirely, sometimes buried in the terms as a general online-marketplace exclusion. Read the cashback exclusions guide before assuming a "grocery card" will actually pay out on Zepto or Blinkit.

Where to go from here

If you're trying to think about quick commerce as part of your broader spending strategy rather than app by app, our wider piece on the quick-commerce credit card strategy looks at the category-level trend — 10-minute delivery's growing share of household spend — and how to structure your card lineup around it rather than optimizing per app. If groceries generally (including BigBasket's scheduled delivery) are a bigger share of your spend than quick commerce specifically, see our dedicated grocery credit cards guide as well.
