Tata Neu Infinity SBI Card Review 2026: Worth ₹1,499?
17 September 2026 · BestCard Editorial Team

The Tata Neu Infinity SBI Credit Card is a good card for anyone who already shops across the Tata ecosystem and spends at least ₹3 lakh a year. It earns 5% back as NeuCoins on Tata Neu and partner brands, 1.5% everywhere else, and adds Priority Pass international lounge access that's rare at a ₹1,499 fee. If you rarely buy from Tata brands, a plain cashback card will serve you better.
Who this card is for
This card suits someone who buys electronics at Croma, groceries on BigBasket, and watches or jewellery from Titan or Tanishq, and wants those purchases to pay them back. It also fits people who fly a few times a year and want occasional lounge access without paying for a premium travel card. The minimum income of ₹50,000 a month makes it reachable for many salaried professionals.
It's not for heavy international spenders (the forex markup is 3.5%) or for anyone who wants pure cash back. NeuCoins have their full value only inside the Tata ecosystem. Our guide on how NeuCoins work covers redemption in detail.
Fees and waiver
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Joining fee | ₹1,499 |
| Annual fee | ₹1,499 |
| Fee waiver | ₹3,00,000 annual spend |
| Welcome benefit | 1,499 NeuCoins (worth ₹1,499) within 15 days of fee realisation |
| Network | RuPay |
| Forex markup | 3.5% |
| Min monthly income | ₹50,000 |
The welcome NeuCoins effectively refund the first year's joining fee, provided you'll spend them on Tata platforms. From year two, you need ₹3 lakh of annual spend, about ₹25,000 a month, to avoid the renewal fee.
These figures come from BestCard's latest card data. SBI Card updates benefits and exclusions periodically, so check the current terms on SBI Card's site before applying.
Reward structure
- 5% as NeuCoins on the Tata Neu app and website and at partner Tata brands, including Croma, Titan, Tanishq, BigBasket and Westside.
- 1.5% as NeuCoins on other eligible spends.
- 1 NeuCoin = ₹1 when redeemed within the Tata ecosystem.
Because the card runs on RuPay, it can be linked to UPI, so small QR payments at local shops also earn at the base rate. See our explainer on RuPay credit cards on UPI for how that works.
Worked example: ₹40,000 a month
Say you spend ₹15,000 a month across Tata brands and ₹25,000 on everything else.
- Tata spends: 5% × ₹15,000 = ₹750 in NeuCoins
- Other spends: 1.5% × ₹25,000 = ₹375 in NeuCoins
- Monthly total: ₹1,125. Yearly: ₹13,500.
Annual spend is ₹4.8 lakh, so the ₹1,499 fee is waived. Net return is ₹13,500 a year, or 2.8% on total spend.
Now flip it: ₹5,000 on Tata brands and ₹35,000 elsewhere. That's ₹250 + ₹525 = ₹775 a month, or ₹9,300 a year, a 1.9% return. Still positive, but a flat-rate cashback card would come close without the ecosystem lock-in.

Lounge access and travel benefits
The Infinity variant is the one to pick if you want airport perks:
- Domestic lounges: 8 complimentary visits a year, up to 2 a quarter, unlocked only after ₹75,000 of spend in the preceding quarter.
- International lounges: Priority Pass membership with 4 complimentary visits a year, one per quarter. After that, visits cost $27 plus GST each.
The domestic condition is strict. ₹75,000 a quarter is ₹25,000 a month, the same pace you need for the fee waiver, so it lines up if you use this as a primary card. If it's a secondary card, expect to miss domestic lounge access in some quarters.
Pros and cons
Pros
- 5% NeuCoins across a wide set of Tata brands
- Welcome NeuCoins worth ₹1,499 offset the joining fee
- Priority Pass with 4 international lounge visits a year
- Fee waiver achievable at ₹3 lakh of annual spend
- RuPay network works on UPI
Cons
- Domestic lounge access needs ₹75,000 of spend in the previous quarter
- 3.5% forex markup is poor for travel abroad
- NeuCoins are worth less to you if you don't shop at Tata brands
- RuPay isn't accepted by some international and online merchants
Eligibility
BestCard lists a minimum monthly income of ₹50,000. As with any card, SBI Card will also look at your credit score, existing obligations and repayment history. If you don't yet have a credit history, start with an entry card first and build up.
How it compares
| Card | Annual fee | Main rate | Base rate | Forex | Min income |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tata Neu Infinity SBI | ₹1,499 | 5% Tata brands | 1.5% | 3.5% | ₹50,000 |
| Tata Neu Infinity HDFC | ₹1,499 | 5% Tata brands and utilities | 1.5% | 2% | ₹1,00,000 |
| SBI Cashback | ₹999 | 5% online (₹2,000 cap) | 1% | 3.5% | ₹25,000 |
| ICICI Amazon Pay | Nil | 5% Amazon (with Prime) | 1% | 1.99% | ₹30,000 |
HDFC version: same fee and core rates, but adds 5% on utilities and a lower 2% forex markup. Its domestic lounge trigger is ₹50,000 in a quarter rather than ₹75,000. If you earn ₹1 lakh a month or more, the HDFC card is slightly stronger. Our planned HDFC vs SBI Tata Neu Infinity comparison breaks this down.
SBI Cashback: better if your online spend is spread across many sites rather than Tata platforms, and the cashback goes straight to your statement.
ICICI Amazon Pay: lifetime free and better if Amazon is your main store, but no lounge access.
There's also the cheaper Tata Neu Plus SBI at ₹499 with a ₹1 lakh waiver, but its base rate is 1% and it lacks the Infinity's Priority Pass benefit.
Verdict
The Tata Neu Infinity SBI Card is a strong pick for Tata-loyal shoppers earning ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh a month, especially those who don't yet qualify for the HDFC version. At ₹3 lakh or more of annual spend with a meaningful share at Tata brands, it returns close to 3% and throws in international lounge access. If that sounds like you, you can apply for the Tata Neu Infinity card here.
If your spending doesn't lean towards Tata brands, use the BestCard matcher to find a card that rewards what you actually buy.
